International Research Funding Lunch at the ZhDK
The Research and International Affairs Offices cordially invite you to their International Research Funding Lunch on European research funding in Health. The current European framework for research & innovation ‘Horizon Europe’ dedicates a large part of its funding to Health research, covering areas of intervention like health throughout the life course, environmental and social health determinants, non-communicable and rare diseases, infectious diseases tools, technologies and digital solutions for health and care, and health care systems. In most cases, evaluators are seeking for innovative research projects at the interface of digitalisation, health, ethics and design. Besides Horizon Europe Cluster 1 Health and the cancer mission, several other initiatives like the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI), European Bauhaus, Cities Mission, Build for People and EIT Health support European health research, which also relies on interdisciplinary teams and approaches. For the first time, the IRFL is adopting a thematic focus rather than simply presenting an instrument for international research projects. At ZHdK, the topic of ‘health’ is currently being explored and developed from multiple perspectives and disciplines. Sasha Hugentobler, National Contact Point (NCP) for Health in Horizon Europe and Matthew Whellens, NCP for Industry and Space and New European Bauhaus, will give an overview of all Health funding opportunities relevant for ZHdK’s disciplines and engage in a Q&A and discussion with the audience.
