EIC Pathfinder
The EIC Pathfinder supports earliest phases of scientific and technical research and development of future, groundbreaking, market-creating technologies. The Programme aims to identify radically new technologies that have the potential to create completely new markets. These visionary and high-risk projects are supported at an early stage (TRL 1-4) of development.
Budget per project up to 4 million EUR.
Pathfinder Open: consortium of minimum 3 partners. Pathfinder Challenge: 1,2,3 or more partners.

Swiss eligibility:
Switzerland is an Associated Country to Horizon Europe and Swiss entities may participate as beneficiaries and coordinators. More information on the Euresearch webpage
The next calls:
Next Pathfinder Open deadline is 12 May 2026.
Next Pathfinder Challenge deadline is 28 October 2026.
Types of actions:
Pathfinder calls are “Research and Innovation Actions” . Eligible costs will take the form of a lump sum.
