EIC Advanced Innovation Challenges
EIC Advanced Innovation Challenges (AIC) support high-risk, demand-driven deep-tech innovation with strong transformative potential, especially in areas with substantial research but limited commercial uptake.
The pilot will test whether competitive, stage-gated support and early involvement of demand-side actors can accelerate market entry, improve validation, and lead to more efficient innovation cycles and wider adoption compared with other Horizon Europe instruments

Switzerland is an Associated Country to Horizon Europe and Swiss entities may participate as beneficiaries.
The next calls:
Call Opening: December 2025 with a deadline on 26 February 2026.
The Call will cover two challenges:
1) Accelerating Physical AI: Embodied Intelligence for the Next Frontier of AI-Powered Robotics and
2) Translating Disruptive New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) into Practice
