Joint Research Centre
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the Commission's science and knowledge service. The JRC employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
Key Information
As a non-EU country, Switzerland still has to negotiate the association to Horizon Europe. In the meantime, researchers and innovators from Switzerland can continue to collaborate with the JRC and apply for the usage of the JRC infrastructures in JRC actions, where third countries are welcome or Switzerland explicitly mentioned. Independent Scientific Evidence for EU Policies
more information less information- The European Commission's science and knowledge service, the Joint Research Centre (JRC) supports EU policies with independent scientific evidence throughout the whole policy cycle.
- Anticipate emerging issues that need to be addressed at EU level and understand policy environments
- Collaborate with over a thousand organisations worldwide whose scientists have access to many JRC facilities through various collaboration agreements.
- Host specialist laboratories and unique research facilities and is home to thousands of scientists.
