'The Future of EU Steel Research' Event
The event is taking place in Mönchengladbach (and online) on 26 November 2025 and provides a concise overview of emerging technologies shaping Europe’s low-carbon and circular steel industry. The event is relevant for organisations interested in Horizon Europe Clean Steel Partnership (CSP) topics — which are open to Swiss participation.
Participants will hear short project pitches showcasing innovative solutions with potential for industrial deployment, and will have opportunities for matchmaking with experts, researchers and policymakers from the wider steel ecosystem.
The programme is organised into 2 sessions:
- Low to zero-emission iron and steel production – energy efficiency, electrification, hydrogen-based routes.
- Circularity, competitiveness and industrial symbiosis – scrap quality, advanced recycling, digitalisation, and improved use of by-products.
