ERC Plus Grants: Swiss National Information Event

In 2026, the European Research Council will launch a new funding instrument: the ERC Plus Grant. Designed for visionary researchers with ideas that go beyond what traditional ERC schemes can support, ERC Plus enables genuinely transformative, high‑risk/high‑reward science across all fields. Only around 30 projects will be funded Europe‑wide each year (2026 and 2027), making this one of the most selective and prestigious funding opportunities in Horizon Europe.

Euresearch will organise a national information event on 30 April, 12:15-13:30, to give Swiss-based researchers a look at the scheme’s objectives, eligibility rules, evaluation process, timelines, and proposal requirements—particularly the new “Statement of Vision”, central to Step 1 of the evaluation.
