ERC Webinar: What is Groundbreaking Research?

Have you ever wondered exactly what constitutes ‘groundbreaking’ research?

A new webinar, 'What is Groundbreaking Research?', has been released in which European Research Council (ERC) panel members and grantees discuss this very simple yet surprisingly difficult question. The panel members and grantees span all fields of research and ERC panels, and their discussions are both insightful and relevant to applicants at all stages (even though the webinar ostensibly targets Advanced Grant applicants).  Key presentations are from:

- Prof Themis Alissafi (LS:  Assistant Professor at the Medical School National and Kapodistrian University of Athens),
- Prof Helena Machado (SH:  Professor of Sociology at the Institute for Social Sciences, University of Minho), and
- Prof. Maruša Bradač (PE:  Professor of Physics at the University of Ljubljana).

Have a listen, and don't hesitate to contact your ERC National Contact Points in Switzerland  should you have any questions.
