A Luxembourg-based, deep-tech startup is pioneering a patented chemical recycling technology designed to solve the global crisis of ‘unrecyclable’ mixed waste. In the context of the HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-CIRCBIO-02 call, such patented chemical recycling technology offers a disruptive solution for the depolymerisation of mixed post-consumer textile waste and blended products, which currently face significant barriers to circularity due to material complexity and contamination.
For this Horizon Europe call, the Luxembourg-based, deep-tech start-up is seeking partners with the following expertise:
Upstream Partners (Sorting & Pre-treatment):
- Automated Sorting: Specialists in identifying and sorting post-consumer textiles to provide consistent blended feedstock streams.
- Mechanical Pre-processing: Partners capable of shredding textiles to approximately 5mm size, which optimises reaction times from 3 hours down to 2 hours within the chemical recycling technology reactors.
Downstream Partners (Value-Added Product Creation):
- Chemical Off-takers: Companies that can utilise the high-value liquid outputs - such as monomers, acetic acid, acetone, and methanol - to synthesise new polymers or textiles.
- Mechanical Recycler of fibres.
