State of the European Union 2026

On 16 September 2026, Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will deliver this year's State of the European Union (SOTEU), the yearly speech to outline her priorities for the Union for the year ahead. The 2026 State of the Union Address will be broadcast live, unencrypted and free of charge via the  European Union's Audiovisual Service, the European Broadcasting Service (EBS).
