28DIGITAL fosters digital innovation and entrepreneurial talent across Europe to drive economic growth and societal well-being. It supports startups, scaleups, and education initiatives that accelerate the digital transformation of industry, cities, and public services.

28DIGITAL was initiated in 2010 as EIT Digital by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) as one of the first EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs). As of 2025, EIT Digital has transitioned to an independent entity, no longer operating under the EIT KIC framework, with a new identity: 28DIGITAL. Through a Memorandum of Understanding with the EIT, 28DIGITAL will continue to collaborate and sustain its innovation ecosystem, ensuring continuity and impact across Europe.
