RADIANCE: Cooperation for Excellence in MSCA Support
High-quality guidance is essential for navigating the complexities of the MSCA, one of Horizon Europe's most competitive and prestigious funding schemes. That’s where RADIANCE comes in. The acronym ‘RADIANCE’ echoes radium, the element discovered by Marie Skłodowska-Curie, and stands for Research Advisors in Action – NCPs Cooperation for Excellence.
Coordinated in Switzerland by Euresearch, RADIANCE is a 3-year EU project that enhances the services of MSCA NCPs across Europe and beyond. Its goal is to improve the quality and accessibility of MSCA support for applicants in all the participating countries.
RADIANCE directly supports the core of MSCA NCPs work:
- Providing in depth information on MSCA funding opportunities
- Improving proposal quality through clear guidance and practical tools
- Facilitating matchmaking between researchers and host institutions across the world
To achieve its goals, RADIANCE provides a set of valuable resources including
- Handbooks and submission guides: step-by-step guides tailored to each MSCA call
- Policy briefs linking MSCA to EU R&I priorities
- Inspirational stories of successful applicants
- An interactive matchmaking platform to build partnerships
- A curated FAQ repository, answering real questions from applicants and institutions
These resources are publicly available for research institutions and researchers alike on the Horizon Europe NCP portal.
RADIANCE also provides possibilities for competence building of NCPs, with online and onsite training, twinning, mentoring, an e-learning platform and train-the-trainer workshops.
The project is carried out by a highly international consortium of 19 Beneficiaries and 6 Associated Partners, ensuring a far-reaching impact and support for all MSCA applicants joining EU projects worldwide. Whether experienced or new to MSCA, you can rely on RADIANCE to stay connected and updated in the evolving European R&I landscape.
